In the Pink

I'd like to thank my fellow Mortgage Cicerone, Mike Mueller, for helping Mortgage Porter go pink.  If you visit my blog during the month of October, it looks like it's been taken over by cotton candy or bubble gum!  It's sporting pink borders with a nice pink bow on my lapel and a pink button on the right.  The pink button includes a bow and is to support free mammograms.   Why am I doing all of this?  Simple:

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Many of us have been touched by this disease either personally or by someone we know.  Last December, I lost a dear friend who was once my Processor, Michelle Brown.  I miss her dearly and I'm not alone.  And she's not alone.

I encourage you to take action this month.

• Do self breast exams!
• Volunteer
• Donate

Go pink! Help spread the word and heighten awareness about breast cancer.  "Pink out" your blogs and websites for the month of October.  Do what ever you can.  And if YOU would like help "pinking your photo or adding a bow...I know a first class fella who's happy to help you.
